Job description

The College offers students 69 Degree Program Options and 35 Credit Certificates from which to choose.
Teaches noncredit basic skills prep to adults in multilevel classes with emphasis on workplace and HSE skills, on the JKC campus or at extension sites in Mercer County, days, evenings, and/or Saturdays. Must have experience teaching virtually, hybrid, and in person. Must have experience working with diverse cultures of adults. Individual will be required to be onsite at JKC campus 4 evenings/week. Bachelor’s degree. Grant funded position contingent on available funding. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties maybe assigned.
- Creates and teaches basic skills and high school equivalency prep, face to face virtually, and hybrid delivery methods.
- Teaches work readiness and education training.
- Tests students as per funding mandates
- Employs varied instruction materials using student centered learning activities.
- Tracks and maintains student attendance.
- Other duties as assigned
- Education and/or Experience Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university and two or more years adult teaching experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Spreadsheet and Word Processing software and be able to use the Internet.
- Ability to work with a constantly changing and culturally diverse population.
