Role & Function
Installs and repairs electrical systems apparatus, and electrical and electronic components of industrial machinery and equipment, following electrical code, manuals, schematic diagrams, blueprints, and other specifications, using hand tools, power tools, and electrical and electronic test equipment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Installation, repair, and maintenance of electrical systems: Installs power supply wiring and conduit for new construction, newly installed machines and equipment, or additions/repairs of electrical systems; uses tools and test equipment as required. Completes work in accordance with electrical code, blueprints, manuals, or schematic diagrams.
Safety/Hazard Recognition & Elimination:
- Pre-plan and identify the methods to eliminate hazards daily by work task.
- Execute skill in observing habits and hazards of others and bringing it to their attention.
- Uphold safety as the most important goal of our company. Support goal of achieving zero accidents.
- Promote and encourage open communication between field and office regarding all safety concerns, suggestions, improvements, and PPE needed.
- Obtain safety training as expected by all company personnel.
Qualifications & Experience:
This position requires a decisive leader with a passion for hands-on work in outdoor environments and a strong drive for construction project management work.- Must have a desire to work in a team-based environment and contribute immediately.
- High school education required.
- Two to four years panel shop experience or technical background in related field.
- Positive safety attitude and personal integrity – both are non-negotiable
- 5 years of experience or proof of completion of apprenticeship program or electrical license preferred
- Past leadership experience preferred
- Ability to think conceptually and apply practical solutions.
- Capabilities to self-start, display solid work ethic, and aspire to move ahead.
- Excellent communication, organizational, supervisory, and planning skills are also required.
- Valid driver’s license and insured personal transportation also required.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to maintain a consistent workload that involves moderate manual labor.
- Office environment requiring sitting and standing. Travel to various construction sites is essential, exposing employee to outdoor elements, noise and the need to stand and walk.
