As Electro-Mechanical Technicianyou will be responsible for the set-up, advanced troubleshooting and maintenance of all equipment for formulation, filling, and lyophilization (flash-freeze drying). In addition, this position will support continuous improvements and project work such as equipment modifications and installations.
This Electro-Mechanical Technician role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career, these responsibilities include some of the following:
- Comply with all safety requirements established for the filling area
- Responsible for the equipment set-up and change over support
- Responsible for maintenance (emergency, corrective and preventative) and troubleshooting of filling equipment and systems
- Assist with equipment deviation investigations and corrective and preventative action execution
- Provide technical input and review for equipment SOPs
- Use of applicable diagnostic tools and advanced troubleshooting of control systems, instrumentation, motor control systems, servo and variable frequency drives and electrical issues
- Analyze system failures and historical data and implement corrective actions
- Waste reduction activities for the filling lines
- Assist with equipment modifications and validation activities
- Review and provide feedback on vendor documentation packages including electrical, pneumatic and mechanical schematics
- Assist in identifying the user requirements for new or modified filling equipment
- Operation of general machine shop equipment (such as mills, lathes, band saws, drill presses, etc) to make simple repairs
- Maintain full compliance with all assigned learning plans, technical competencies, documentation practices and procedures as related to the GMP and EHS environments
- Aseptic gowning qualification for work in cleanrooms

- Associates Degree, trade school graduate, or Military training in a relevant electrical/mechanical technical field
- 1+ years’ experience in an industrial environment with equipment technician responsibilities
Electro-Mechanical Technician's Preferred Qualifications:
If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:
- Experience in an industrial environment with equipment technician responsibilities
- Ability to read and understand electrical schematics. Qualified Electrical Person (70E) on industrial electrical 480V 3-phase thru single phase and 24 VDC systems
- Experience supporting and troubleshooting controls systems instrumentation, PLCs (ladder logic), PC based control and networking preferred
- Experience in a regulated industry working within established change management guidelines and standard operating procedures
