ENGINEERING ASSISTANT

We are currently seeking qualified applicants for the position of Engineering Assistant, in our Spindale, NC office. Education/Training

  • High School diploma
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or other relevant field preferred
  • Relevant licenses or certifications preferred
  • Training is included for this position in addition the candidate should also expect to participate in some training outside of work hours to further capability and competence in this field

Experience/Education for Project Engineer

Pay will be based upon experience and qualifications.

Specific Skills/Duties/Proficiencies for Project Engineer

  • Strong computer, data entry, and data analysis skills, proficiency with AutoCAD, BIM, Revit, Microsoft Projects and Excel, and/or Bluebeam, or willingness to enroll in classes to gain proficiency
  • Ability to read and interpret construction documents, drawings, and schematics
  • Attention to detail, organization, strong mathematical skills, and ability to multi-task
  • Assist in the development of designs and specifications for components of the electrical scope of work on commercial and industrial construction projects
  • Analyze construction drawings to identify opportunities for engineered solutions to installation issues
  • Provide administrative support to project management teams, including scheduling, budgeting, and tracking

Additional Requirements and/or Expectations for Project Engineer

  • Must pass a mandatory pre-employment drug screen
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable means of transportation
