Overview

SCCI is seeking an Engineering Technician to join our team. The successful Candidate will be deployed on LCS class ships as the Field Service Rep. (FSR) for the Fire Scout UAV Mission Control Station (MCS). Travel CONUS can be up to 80% of the time. Travel OCONUS can include being underway up to 50% of the year for periods of time up to 3 weeks. This position will be supported out of San Diego, Ca.

Responsibilities:

• Servicing and inspections on UAV Mission Control Stations (MCS), MCS sub-systems, and related UAV/MCS equipment
• Performing daily electronic maintenance tasks for MCS to include, post-flight, pre-flight, thru-flight and periodic inspections
• Removes and installs on UAV MCS electronic system components/cables (copper, fiber, etc.) and conducts functional and operational tests
• Reviews and completes maintenance action items
• Prepares and submits material and product deficiency reports
• Prepares and submits Daily SITREPS to the program office to include, pre-flight, thru-flight, post-flight, launch, and recovery
• Conducts on-the-job training for ships personnel
• Occasionally required to lead teams through maintenance tasks

Essential Skills and Experience:

• Must be a U.S. CITIZEN and have a minimum of an ACTIVE SECRET SECURITY CLEARANCE
• High School Diploma
• Experience utilizing Navy approved maintenance manuals/procedures to troubleshoot maintenance discrepancies
• Reading, interpreting, and comprehending schematic diagrams and blueprints for application of advanced troubleshooting as required
• Experience performing standard maintenance functions IAW IETMs, MRC decks, and oversight of O Level maintenance conducted by Navy personnel
• Utilizing authorized Naval Aviation Logistics Command Management Information System, 3M, and Joint Discrepancy Reporting System software

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• Advanced electronics training (FC. ET, AT etc). Windows/Linux familiarity a must. Cable fabrication and repair experience desired, but will train. Must be able to verbally demonstrate proper troubleshooting technique
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work experience
• Comptia Security Plus Certification
