Fruit Growers Laboratory, Inc. (FGL) has been serving agricultural and environmental clients throughout California since 1925. FGL has five (5) laboratories located in Santa Paula, San Luis Obispo, Visalia, Stockton, and Chico and is a financially stable company with a family-type and flexible working atmosphere.
FGL is now searching for an entry level Microbiologist for the Santa Paula facility with starting pay at $20/hr. Duties will include analyzing drinking water and wastewater for the presence and quantitation of Coliform Bacteria. Candidate must be able to multi-task and be self-motivated. This position requires attention to detail and a high comfort level in working under deadlines and shifting priorities. The successful candidate will be required to participate in the weekend and holiday rotation. This coverage is only required for part of the day. The preferred candidate will be a self-starter who can also work in a team environment. A Bachelor's Degree in Biology or related science discipline is required.
