Newell Brands is seeking a high-performing Executive Assistant who will support our SVP Business Planning & Analysis and several leaders in the Finance function.

Essential Duties:

  • Provides support to the executive team as directed to ensure that company goals and objectives are accomplished, and operations run efficiently
  • Maintains and refines internal processes that support to the finance leadership team, coordinating internal and external resources to expedite workflow
  • Manages communication between upper management and employees, liaising with internal and external executives on various projects and tasks
  • Plans and orchestrate work to ensure the senior executives’ priorities are met, organizational goals are achieved, and best practices are upheld
  • Performs routine and complex administrative work.
  • Screens incoming calls professionally, takes messages and routes calls to appropriate individuals as necessary, provides appropriate level of information and assistance.
  • Helps leaders clear inbox by reviewing and sorting mail (paper and electronic), prioritizing emails, handling and/or re-routing routine requests and developing follow up rhythm to ensure timely response to all correspondence
  • Partners with SVP Business Planning & Analysis and VPs of Finance on meeting topics / agenda creation for Finance Leadership meetings. Manages Finance SharePoint site.
  • Organizes and prepares for meetings, including gathering documents, attending to logistics of meetings, and taking notes / follow-ups from the meeting.
  • Manages processing of invoice, including PO creation, and expense reports,
  • Prepares and/or compiles reports, using spreadsheets, SAP, Hyperion and PDF. May perform analysis and research issues as required.
  • Assists with developing and proofreading presentations, reports, letters, etc. for accuracy, format, correct form and content; some of which are distributed to Sr Executives
  • Develops and maintains organized filing system so that executive and assistant have information readily available as necessary
  • Assists in arranging complex and detailed travel plans and itineraries, including Passport, Immigration and Visa information
  • Must be knowledgeable of the current business climate and factors affecting the organization, proactively communicating issues or observations that will improve the success of the business
  • Works with meeting and events planning teams; assists by coordinating catering and facilities set up for meetings
  • May provide assistance to Leaders with personal matters as requested

Technical Experience and other requirements:

  • In depth Knowledge of MS Office Suite including Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • SAP and/or Hyperion knowledge is a plus; capability to learn new technology.
  • Must have 5-7 years of administrative support at the executive level
