Summary:
Heart of the Summer, Duchesne’s Summer Enrichment Program, is searching for a well-qualified candidate who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment. This individual will work from December through July. This position calls for a person with good phone and email communications skills and who is energetic and is willing and able to take on various tasks when asked. The candidate must also have attention to detail and is able to interact with students, teachers and parents in a positive, nurturing environment. The office staff reports to the Extended Programs Director.
Hours:
December – May Up to 20 hours per week
June and July Full Time
Primary Responsibilities:
- Receive and respond to phone messages and emails for Extended Programs
- Print and file documentation
- Assist with mailings
- Assist with morning and afternoon carpool in June and July
- Assist existing students with schedule changes
- Assist new students with enrollment
- Assist in accommodating changes to students’ schedules
- Assist the Extended Programs Director with additional duties as needed
- Assist in preparing for upcoming sessions
Minimum Education/Prior Experience/Qualifications Required
In the performance of his/her duties, Employee shall be guided by the Goals and Criteria of the Sacred Heart and the Catholic Faith. Candidates must also possess:
- A minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent is required
- Genuine affinity for working with children and families in an educational setting
- Strong references to convey your abilities
- Successful completion of criminal offender record information and sexual offender registry information checks
- Current Safe Environment training

- Excellent communication skills with students, parents, and other staff members
- Punctuality and dependability
- Ability to multitask and to work quickly and accurately with a strong attention to detail
- Excellent work ethic
