SUMMARY
Responsible for developing internal controls, project documentation, master scheduling and documenting standard operating procedures for the CBP Mission Support Facilities Program Management Office.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Includes the Following:

  • Develops master scheduling efforts for facilities projects to maintain, modernize and/or renovate existing facilities as well as construction of new facilities.
  • Reviews and comments on the initial project schedule and integrate schedules into master schedule.
  • Tracks the status of critical activities and changes to the critical path impacting the project.
  • Monitors program milestones and interdependencies.
  • Analyzes project planning, schedule updates, and delays.
  • Provides “alerts” on items impacting the project schedule.
  • Identifies the critical path and suggests alternatives to regain slippage to the schedule.
  • Attend progress meetings and lead discussions on time related issues
  • Documents design strategies and standard operating procedures for new construction projects and renovation of existing building interiors.
  • Maintains library of project documentation including project costs, tasks, milestones, statements of work, estimates, construction drawings, and project plans.
  • Coordinates and assists in developing project schedules, resources, equipment and information.
  • Completes weekly and monthly internal and external reporting.
  • Perform quality control and assurance project reviews to ensure consistency with Agency requirements.
  • Develops project briefings and presentations for senior management in support of the Program Management Review board and routine meetings.
  • Maintains and organizes project files, invoices, estimates, and vendor information.
  • Captures action items for project management teams, capture meeting minutes and disseminate to appropriate stakeholders.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
BA/BS Degree in communication, business, engineering or related field and 5-10 years of related experience supporting program management offices for a Federal Agency.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Ability to understand the following facility planning requirements: IT, Security, Furniture procurement and configuration, and construction buildout process.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Project and Primavera Project Management Software
  • Strong communication skills
  • Demonstrated excellent written and oral communication analysis, and interpersonal skills.
  • Successfully pass a federal background check and a drug screen.
  • Cherokee Federal employees are included as covered employees in U.S. Presidential Executive Order 14042, which mandates Covid vaccines for federal contractors. Executive Order 14042 is currently blocked from enforcement pending court proceedings. Therefore, Cherokee Federal is halting the application of the mandate; however, if the injunction is lifted, Cherokee Federal will restore administration of the vaccine requirement.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work is performed primarily in a climate-controlled office environment.
