Summary of Position (Job Purpose) - Major purpose and functions of the position. The Facilities Sample Room Coordinator is the primary customer service agent for Corporate Sample Rooms. They are responsible for responding to all field team members calling or emailing the store support center with questions regarding planograms. They are also responsible for coordinating the delivery and disposition of samples and setting product at the onsite and satellite SSC Sample Rooms that support Dollar Tree and Family Dollar. Additionally, the Facilities Sample Room Coordinator provides day to day facility, mail and sample handling, and administrative support to the Dollar Tree and Family Dollar Merchants and to the Space Planning Department . Principal Duties and Responsibilities - Primary responsibilities listed in order of importance Coordinating the Sample Room Inventory Process . This entails supporting and facilitating the Merchandise Teams in processing samples as they are received through the approval process, sample stocking process, staging, and disposal. Interpret planograms and product placement in order to accurately stage product on fixtures. Must be proficient in assembling store fixtures. In support of this process with the objective of enhancing operations for both banners. The primary purpose of this position is to support the Dollar Tree and Family Dollar Sample Room Operations.
Loading Dock and Mailroom Operations . Assists the Central Receiving Point and Mail Room Operations in processing the receipt of samples in their absence. Serves as augmentation to the Mail Room during periods of high volume surges, as needed. Supports the efficiency, safety, security, and cleanliness are maintained of Sample Room Spaces at all times. General Facility Support and Other Duties as assigned in support of facility operations, maintenance, cleanliness, and safety of all assigned facilities. Regarding Emergency Management Support, shows proficiency in operating the Building Fire Alarm System that pertains to all sample rooms. Handling Inventory Samples . Requires aptitude to learn and use an automated Inventory System to catalogue and control Trip Samples and Product Samples that have been accepted through the Sample Approval Process. Ensures Samples for both banners are managed in an organized and accountable manner and meets the fast paced needs of this Retail Organization.
Collaborate with Visual Merchandising Specialists and Space Planning Analysts on solving problems and providing answers to field operation questions.
Maintain SLAs.
Work with mailroom and shipping partner on delivery confirmation for shipping claims and exception resolution.
Manage access to the Visual Merchandising / Sample Room Facilities and Ensure that visitors are escorted through Sample Store.
Any special projects as needed Minimum Requirements/Qualifications - Summary of knowledge, experience and education required.
High School Diploma, Associates Degree Preferred
3-5 years customer service and/or administrative work and /or retail store experience.
Valid Driver’s License
Comfortable with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
Office work environment, Moving and handling mail, packages, boxes
Lifting up to 50 lbs
On feet and walking much of the day
40+ work hours per week Desired Qualifications - Desired but not required.
Forklift operator
