Position Title: Facilities Technician II
Department: House Operations
Reports to: Facilities Services Manager
Supervises: N/A
FLSA Status: Non-exempt
POSITION SUMMARY
The position of the Facilities Technician II is responsible for performing routine building maintenance tasks to address the physical maintenance needs of the Ronald McDonald Houses. The Facilities Technician II will perform maintenance and repair of mechanical, electrical, and other physical structures in accordance with standard operating procedures, internal requirements, manufacturer’s specifications and safety policies. This position will work closely with the Facilities Services Manager to ensure facilities meets state, local, federal and RMHC Global standards.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Perform repair and general maintenance work of facilities;
· Work closely with the Facilities Services manager on construction, renovation, and repair projects to ensure the Houses meet environmental, health, and security standards;
· Provide supervision to maintenance volunteer groups;
· Work with Facilities Services Manger to identify projects that need higher skilled craftsmen;
· Work closely with the Facilities Services Manager to cultivate vendor relationships;
· Maintain supply inventory;
· Perform daily maintenance and repair tasks as instructed by the Facilities Services Manager;
· Perform repairs to guest rooms, as needed;
· Perform repair and maintenance of the facility, including but not limited to, electrical, carpentry, plumbing, and painting tasks;
· Perform basic repairs to walls, doors, and trim;
· Repair and treat structures such as showers, floors, sinks, walls, carpets, and roof;
· Responsible for fixing plumbing problems (i.e., leaky faucets, clogged drains);
· Responsible for repairing electrical switches, dead light bulbs, including ballasts, and wall sockets;
· Maintain general cleanliness of facilities and maintenance closets;
· Replace fan coil unit filters, as needed;
· Perform routine preventative maintenance duties as assigned;
· Assist in maintaining landscaping and courtyards, including power washing;
· Help manage the keycard entry system to the Houses;
· Moving and assisting in transportation of furniture and equipment;
· Submit and close work order requests in an online database, properly documenting work completed;
· Assist with meeting room and event set up as requested by staff and community organizations, including setting up and breaking down tables, chairs and other materials; and

QUALIFICATIONS
Incumbents must demonstrate the ability to follow policies and procedures as established in the Company’s Employee Handbook. EDUCATION
· High School Diploma or GED required.
· Bachelor’s Degree in Facility Management is preferred.
WORK EXPERIENCE
· Minimum of eight (3) years of experience in facility maintenance is preferred.
KEY SKILLS SET
· Ability to use various power and hand tools;
· Excellent written and oral communication skills;
· Strong organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills and ability to meet tight deadlines; and
· Team player.
EQUIPMENT AND APPLICATIONS
· High proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint;
· Working knowledge of all standard office equipment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
