Ardurra is seeking a Field Technician to join our staff in Houston, TX.

Essential Duties

Reconnaissance work locating wastewater manholes in advance of contractor activities. Data entry of data in the field concerning manholes. Perform visual inspection of manholes and incoming/outgoing wastewater lines.

Technical Responsibilities

• Read and interpret maps.
• Performs visual inspections of manholes. Performs record keeping activities in computer software in the field.
• Perform other job responsibilities as assigned.

Managerial Responsibilities

• Coordinate with Ardurra Supervisor.

Direction Received:

• Receives direction from Civil Engineering Manager or project supervisor.

Communication Skills

• Effective oral, written and basic computer skills in order to interact with Ardurra staff

Travel and/or Environment Requirements

• Must be able to visually observe and differentiate details and colors of objects, recognize sound, tone and pitch; adjust to interruption and changes; work in hot, cold, and noisy work areas; stand, walk and sit for extended periods; and lift wastewater manhole lids with provided tools.
• Must have valid State Driver’s License and carry applicable State mandated auto insurance.
• Must have dependable transportation to attend meetings or to make field visits on a short notice.
• Must be willing and available to work all shifts, including rotation, weekends and holidays.

Qualifications and Educational Requirements

Experience

• 2 + years as a construction inspector or other related experience desired.

Education

• High School Diploma or equivalent as a minimum.
• Engagement in life-long learning to maintain knowledge of contemporary issues.
