Overview:
As a Financial & Accounting Administrator 3, the ideal candidate will provide comprehensive support to management and staff while efficiently anticipating, prioritizing, and implementing organizational missions, commitments, and procedures.

Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for performing clerical and administrative financial/accounting activities in support of the maintenance, control, analysis and development of complex financial/accounting records, reports and systems.
  • Assists Finance & Accounting Professionals in providing advice and services to management and staff to ensure compliance with applicable federal laws, regulations, policies and good business practices.
  • Assists in the adherence to and communication of business policies and procedures, including training and interpretation for the various organizations supported.
  • Provides/performs key accounting tasks in one or more of the following areas: accounts receivable, accounts payable, travel services, treasury, cost accounting and payroll.
  • Possess the ability to recognize and adhere to diverse requirements, meet critical deadlines and work to resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • Must be able to work with minimal supervision, while teaming and/or collaborating with other PNNL staff members.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
  • High school diploma/GED and 6 years of relevant work experience-OR-
  • AA or higher and 4 years of relevant work experience
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of PNNL/Battelle's financial systems and business processes highly desired
  • Proficient use of standard office equipment; use of MS Office Suite (specifically Excel and Access)
  • Bookkeeping, accounting and related systems experience; including government accounting
