The Village of Key Biscayne, incorporated on June 18, 1991, is located in the center 1.25 square miles of a four-mile-long, two-mile-wide barrier island between the Atlantic Ocean and Biscayne Bay. The island is connected via causeway and bridges to the City of Miami on the mainland, approximately seven miles away. Key Biscayne, one of the most densely populated communities in the United States, is a vibrant, residential community of more than 14,800 residents.
The Village of Key Biscayne is seeking a Finance Analyst I. Performs entry-level professional accounting work in the Village’s Finance Department.
The Finance Analyst I performs technical and administrative work which requires the application of accounting principles and methods in the areas of:
· General bookkeeping: accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliation, and general ledger
· Budget: assist in preparation and monitoring of Village operational and CIP budgets
· Procurement: assist in bid process, solicitations, and departmental purchasing.
· Payroll support: assist in preparation, review, reporting, reconciliation, and inquiry response.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field.
· Two (2) years full-time paid professional general accounting and/or financial, procurement, and payroll experience, preferably in the public sector
· Must be fluent in the English language. Ability to communicate in Spanish is a plus.
POSITION TYPE: Full-Time, Non-Exempt, 35 hours per week

Pay: $49,577.00 - $81,058.00 per year
