Position Summary:

• Open Local 3 Union Field Technician
• Experienced in the commissioning, troubleshooting, and servicing of Cerberus Pyrotronics/Siemens Fire Alarm Systems.
• Experienced in basic programming of Cerberus Pyrotronics/Siemens Fire Alarm Systems. - Conduct diagnostic tests to determine cause of alarm and/or trouble system status, as well as ground faults.
• Adjust, replace, or repair defective device(s) to meet NYC, NFPA, and HRFS requirements.
• Conduct testing on all repaired devices as per NYC, NFPA, and HRFS requirements.
• Identify code issues and non-conformance issues and make recommendations on alternative solutions.
• Maintain accurate records of all work performed and materials used.
• Generate system status reports upon completion of troubleshooting work.
• Maintain positive client relations through professional interactions with clients.
• Ability to work Full Time and on-call hours
• Ability to use own vehicle (gas, mileage, and insurance is reimbursed)

Basic Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• 2+ years’ experience as Fire Alarm Technician
• Clean Driving record

Preferred Qualifications:

• Fire Alarm Systems Inspection, Testing, & Service Technician
• NICET II Certification. National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies, Fire Alarm Systems, Level II. or eager to strive to obtain certification.
