Job Title: Fleet Maintenance Assistant
Department: Transportation
Essential Job Functions:
- Coordinate tag registrations and renewals for each vehicle
- Collect review and maintain mileage, and maintenance sheets
- Submit reports to Director on vehicle safety inspections and emissions
- Perform general preventative maintenance on Athelas vehicles
- Perform fleet inventory daily
- Communicate with body shops to confirm repair completion dates
- Assist the Transportation Director with scheduling vehicle maintenance and repairs as needed: Obtain estimates and parts price quotes, generate purchase orders
- Complete basic condition report checklist, verify equipment, make sure spare keys are in inventory
- Provide training in vehicle safety
- Check and respond to emails daily to maintain proper communication
- Maintain positive working relationships and act as an advocate for all assigned individual(s).
- Must be well organized, have a positive attitude, keep a clean work area, communicate well and be able to multi-task
- Complete all state and agency required documentation in accordance with stated guidelines and deadlines
- Complete and maintain required trainings in accordance with DDA/State/Company regulations. This includes, and is not limited to, CPR/First-Aid, the Mandt System, certified medication technician course and regular recertifications
- Attend and actively participate in all scheduled meetings
- Staff will be required to utilize agency electronic systems for communication, time and attendance, progress notes, incident report filing, etc.
- All other duties that may be requested by Director of Transportation
Education:
High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED)
Physical Requirements:
Applicant must be able to walk, stand, and sit for up to 8 hours. Person must have the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. or more based on assigned supported person (using health and safety lifting / turning techniques or assistive devices).
Applicant must be able to successfully demonstrate all Mandt Systems training physical interventions and techniques, to include assisting supported person to standing, providing assistance with ambulation, physical releases, and physical restraints.
