PT available $14 hour plus $4-6 average per hour tips. $19 average hourly pay

The Village Juice & Kitchen Back of House Prep and Line Cook (BOH) is the heart of food preparation (cutting and preparing vegetables) and leads the prep, assembly and delivery of all products prepared on the cook line. The BOH maintains the cleanliness of the kitchen, stocks and prepares the produce, oversees cooking areas, counter and storage, kitchen equipment, and keeps food storage areas clean, sanitary and organized.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare food for service
• Clean food preparation equipment, work areas, and counters or tables.
• Support FOH and prepare food according to customer requirements.
• Restock kitchen supplies, rotate food, and stamp the time and date on food

in coolers.

• Plan work on orders so that items served together are finished at the same

time.

• Perform general cleaning activities in kitchen and dining areas.
• Attend all scheduled employee meetings and offers suggestions for

improvement.

• Coordinate with and assist fellow employees to meet Village Juice Co.

guests’ needs and support the operation of the restaurant.

• Fill-in for fellow employees where needed to ensure guest service standards

and efficient operations.

• Communicates needs for ordering
• Stocks shelves and takes deliveries

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

• Must have the ability to communicate in basic English with customers
• Ability to understand customer requests as well as the ability to respond with appropriate actions and provide accurate recommendations
• Must understand and execute food safety and sanitation protocols
• Standing, stooping, kneeling, walking, wiping, reaching, bending and lifting are required actions throughout a shift
• Ability to multi-task and handle multiple priorities during the shift
• Must be able to perform duties that require standing for long periods of time and fast movement
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Previous restaurant experience preferred but not required

SCHEDULE/HOURS

• Hours will vary and may include early mornings, evenings, weekends and/or holidays
• All VJK employees will be hired on a variable hour basis. Hours are scheduled based on performance and business necessities.
