Title: Food Runner
REPORTS TO: General Manager
FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt
Position Summary:
The Food Runner maintains a smooth workflow between the kitchen and the dining room ad is primarily responsible for delivering food orders from the kitchen to customers' tables rapidly and accurately. Each Food Runner is responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of the Gibsons Restaurant Group’s philosophy, which is based upon four distinct core beliefs: Hospitality, Quality, Family and Value.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Complete knowledge of the menu
- Assist customer in any requests, questions or comments that may arise
- Ensure orders are being prepared with the correct priority
- Assist in the final preparation of dishes
- Check dishes before delivery for accuracy, presentation and temperature
- Deliver dishes to maintain fast service
- Transfer important information between the kitchen and the wait staff
- Assist Server in carrying trays and bringing food to tables.
- Maintain stations in a clean and orderly manner throughout shift.
- Perform all opening and closing side work as required.
- Follow company and equipment standards.
- Keep a clean and professional appearance at all times.
- May perform other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred. No experience required.
Skills:
Ability to communicate verbally with other dining room staff in fast-paced environment. Ability to frequently use hands and fingers to feel, pull, push, and lift. Ability to stand for long periods of time and frequently lift up to 50 lbs. Ability to follow instructions and procedures.
