SERVER (PEORIA HEIGHTS, IL)

The Illinois Valley Yacht and Canoe Club (IVY Club) is seeking a reputable, experienced servers. The ideal candidate will share in our belief in the quality & value of delivering superior food & hospitality. The successful candidate should possess strong hospitality skills, be a highly motivated person, with proven ability to establish excellent working relationships with various team members in a high-end, production establishment.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Reporting to the Food and Beverage Manager, servers will collaborate with the Chef, the Food and Beverage Manager and other food and bar staff to provide excellent customer service and exceptional dining experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Great and seat members
• Taking food and beverage orders and accurately enter them into POS
• Deliver food and beverages to table

• Explain menu to members and make recommendations
• Promptly address any customer service issues and referring to management if and when necessary
• Ensure the orders are quickly and correctly filled
• Provide attentive service to diners by refilling drinks and water glasses, clearing dishes and checking their needs during meals

• Perform some cleaning duties, such as service station, wiping tables and chairs and vacuuming
• Ability to work independently as well as under direction of the Food and Beverage Manager

• Assist the Food and Beverage Manager with other responsibilities as necessary
• Work well under pressure and within time constraints

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School education or equivalent
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Physically able to stand and move during the duration of a shift
• Self-motivated and self-directed

• Strong communication and customer service skills
