FORKLIFT OPERATOR - 2ND SHIFT

SUMMARY:
Under the supervision of the Operations Supervisor, the Forklift Operator/Driver associate will perform various warehouse/distribution center tasks and duties while utilizing company equipment on a daily basis. Forklift Operator/Driver associates use electric powered industrial truck equipped with lifting devices such as forklift, boom, elevating platform, or trailer hitch, to push, pull, lift, stack, tier, or move products, equipment, or materials by performing the following duties. Associates will work in functional areas of the warehouse such as Shipping, Receiving, Picking, Packing, Replenishment, Inventory Control, etc.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Operate company equipment withing various warehouse functions, including Shipping, Receiving, Loading, Unloading, Processing, Stocking, Restocking, Sorting, etc.
- Inspect and count product from containers, pick locations, and other areas throughout the warehouse
- Prepare and load shipments boxes, pallets, and merchandise to be sent to customers
- Assists all departments and staff by placing the merchandise in the proper locations throughout the warehouse using a RF scanner
- Demonstrate progression and sustained performance levels that meet the respective departments Labor Management System (LMS) metrics
- Understand and adhere to all company policies and standard operating procedures (SOP’s)
- Keeps company equipment and work areas clean and safe
- Required to work overtime and/or weekends as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned or directed by Leadership
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- High School diploma or GED
- Current Forklift Driver Certificate or other required license to operate assigned equipment required
- General warehouse/distribution center knowledge or experience a plus
- Ability to work in fast-paced, metrics-driven distribution environment
- Ability to read and understand basic English
- Bi-lingual (English & Spanish) speaking a plus
