International Paper Fridley

Forklift Operator on 3rd Shift (11 PM to 7 AM)

Starting wage $22.40 (after 90 days $25.48) per hour.

Hiring Bonus $1000.00


Forklift Operator is responsible to insure shipment deadlines are met on a daily basis. Loading and unloading the warehouse, trailers safely and within the guidelines. Recognize and correct or report any safety, quality or production issues utilizing tools provided. Achieve the highest level of quality, productivity and superior housekeeping. Ability to communicate with multiple departments.

Job duties:

  • Experience operating a fork lift.
  • Safely and efficiently, operate a forklift to move, relocate, stack and count product in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Required to perform daily lift checks
  • Demonstrates basic knowledge of operating systems
  • Must keep accurate counts when loading and unloading
  • Pull and prepare product for shipment while ensuring accuracy
  • Excellent housekeeping inside the warehouse and outside the docks
  • Maintain a good working relationship with the people
  • Ensure inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage

Experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment, corrugated or converting industry is preferred, but not required.

  • Willing to work overtime as needed
  • Strong work ethic, good judgment and decision-making skills
  • Perform well with limited direct supervision
  • Knowledge of general computer operations.

Applicants must have a stable work history, good attendance record, positive attitude and a desire to produce quality work as part of a team. The hiring process will include a pre-employment assessment, interview, background check and a health/drug screen
