Job description

Craftsmen Contractors is hiring Form Carpenters for the St. Francisville, La. area. This is for a long term commercial project.

Starting pay is $22/hour.

NO PER DIEM OFFERED.

Job Duties:

• Correctly interpret blueprints, specifications, and project plans to meet clients’ needs
• Create a program/schedule for the use of materials and associated equipment for carpentry work
• Provide support to Concrete Foreman with project layout and elevation shooting
• Take the measurement and cut materials to build forms for pouring concrete
• Responsible for operating electrical, air-powered, and regular hand tools during projects
• Spread, rake, and finish concrete
• Responsible for carrying out general construction labor tasks
• Provide support with fabrication during projects

Job Requirements:

• Need to be able to read blueprints, be proficient in measuring and cutting and be able to construct fillers to bridge gaps.
• Must have at least 2 years of Form Carpentry experience.
• Will need to have basic hand tools, ALL PPE and reliable transportation to get to job site.
• This position requires having a working knowledge of the various methods used to assemble all major types of forms.
• Have to be comfortable working at heights.
