Receptionist Position Purpose:
Responsible for performing a wide variety of clerical and receptionist duties. Greets and screens walk-in visitors. The job also requires handling premium payments and giving the correct change if necessary. Provides administrative information to Company personnel and performs miscellaneous support functions as assigned. A good deal of the employee’s job is detail oriented because of the information being entered into the computer and the results that information can have on future reports. Projects the Company's professional image.
Essential Job Functions and basic duties:
- Responsible for unlocking & locking up the main foyer doors (8am/5pm) each day
- Assist walk-in customers. Answers routing questions or directs them to appropriate personnel
- Assist with questions and problems courteously and promptly. Accepts premium payments from walk in customers, and manages the cash box, ( i.e. keeping it in balance)
- Performs various typing tasks, including, but not limited to, inputting loss file changes, & letters on the computer
- Receives, and looks up walk-in mail
- Assists with Notary duties, when needed
- Assumes responsibility for related duties as required or assigned
- Answers incoming phone calls and helps customers as needed
- Coordinates scheduling for boardroom meetings
- Responsible for Customer Care data entry and processing documents
Qualifications:
Education/Certification: High School graduate or equivalent
Required Knowledge: Basic understanding of business service functions Knowledge of related computer applications
Experience Required: Previous related experience helpful
Skills/Abilities: Strong typing abilities
Excellent phone skills
Strong communication and public relations skills
Well organized and attentive to detail
Willing to cooperate with and assist others
Able to use PC, printer, phones, and basic business equipment
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
