Global Investment and Financial System's Flight Tower team is looking for a strong Application Developer to join our team!
Flight Tower Product team 1) Owns critical app that's used by the Production support teams to send flashes on incidents as well as used by Business to track the business achievements. The product team is passionate about a continuous improvement journey to hone their agile delivery abilities. The Developer partners closely with the Business and scrum master to 1) set the direction for the product team and 2) Partners up with the department architects and determine the strategy to modernize the technology platforms while delivering business value. This role is the perfect blend of technology delivery and driving strategic direction, and will require a diverse set of requisite skills to execute.
In this role you will have the opportunity to develop code in the latest and greatest tech stack that AWS platforms have to offer. The Developer on this team will be responsible for the following:
- Design solutions using Java/AWS tech stack
- Develop and review code that will support multiple use cases
- Automate Testing using TDD methods
- Collaborate with the Business, Developers, Architects
Crucial Skills:
- Experience with developing Java REST services – Spring, Jersey
- Experience with developing UI with Angular/Node.js
- Experience with test automation and test-driven development practices and frameworks – mutation testing, functional testing (JUnit, Cucumber), mock frameworks (Mockito, etc.), contract testing
- Experience with DevOps tools and continuous delivery pipelines - Bamboo, Bitbucket, Jira, etc.
- Experience with API management platforms
- Knowledge of cloud/AWS development/engineering standard methodologies is a plus
- Knowledge of cloud data stores is a plus – S3, Dynamo DB and/or Amazon RDS
