Job description

This management position is responsible for the daily operations in the restaurant as well as our 10 room inn. We are a small, family owned and operated business looking to add to our team. This position is a key part of our business and the individual hired would work closely with both owners and other members of management. Responsibilities include: assisting restaurant and inn guests, placing vendor orders, keeping weekly and daily track of front of house and bar inventory, ensuring cleaning standards are being met, managing front of house schedules and staffing needs, ensuring the level of quality of service and product are consistently being met.

Core Work Activities

• Assisting in Management of Restaurant and Inn

• Handles employee questions and concerns.

• Monitors employees to ensure performance expectations are met.

• Provides constructive feedback to front of house staff

• Responsible for supervising daily shift operations.

Conducting Day-to-Day Operations

• Ensures all employees have proper supplies, equipment and uniforms.

• Communicates any issues regarding food quality and service levels.

• Ensures compliance with all restaurant policies, standards and procedures.

• Monitors alcohol beverage service in compliance with local laws and company policy.

• Manages to achieve or exceed budgeted goals.

• Performs all duties of restaurant employees and related departments as necessary.

• Opens and closes restaurant shifts.

• Answers phones and checks voicemails when needed.
• Oversees nightly reservations for the restaurant.
• Checks and responds to guest Whistle messages.
• Have a thorough understanding of POS system. Ensure all product is properly uploaded on a daily basis.
• Checkin guests arriving at the inn and providing assistance with their stay.
• Collaborate with owners on fresh ideas, new product, fun services, etc.

Providing Exceptional Guest Service for the Inn and Restaurant

• Interacts with guests to obtain feedback on product quality and service levels.

• Supervises staffing levels to ensure that guest service, operational needs and financial objectives are met.

• Encourages employees to provide excellent guest service

• Handles guest problems and complaints, seeking assistance as necessary.

• Strives to improve service performance.

• Sets a positive example for guest relations.

• Assists in the review of guest satisfaction results with employees.

• Meets and greets guests.

Conducting Human Resource Activities

• Supervises on-going training for new hires.

• Uses all available on the job training tools for employees.

• Communicates performance expectations to employees.
• Coaches and counsels employees regarding performance on an on-going basis.

Other

• Position would begin April 2023
• Salary based upon experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
