SUMMARY: WR has an opportunity for a GIS Analyst Engineer to support the design of geospatial/geographical information systems (GIS) using advanced GIS tools and programming languages.

Position responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:

• GIS (Geographic Information Systems) analysts perform intersection of data analysis, programming and cartography.

• Duties include analyzing spatial data through mapping software and designing digital maps with geographic data and various other data sets.

Candidates must possess the following knowledge, skills, and experience:

• Bachelor of Science degree in computer science, geography, surveying, engineering or related field.
• Three (3)+ years of professional experience.
• Experience with geospatial charts, QGIS, ESRI products and other 3rd party analysis tools.
• Proficiency with database programming languages such as SQL, R or Python.
• Proficiency with front end design languages such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript and various mapping languages.
• Experience with mapping tools such as QGIS and Carto.
• Experience with GPS measuring tools.
• Outstanding quantitative skill set.
• Attention to detail and good problem-solving skills.
• Analytical mindset.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Good interpersonal skills.
