Bailey Information Technology Consultants is currently interviewing Geospatial Analysts to add to our high performance team.
Job Title: GIS / Geospatial Analyst
Site Location: Chantilly, VA (in-person training for 30 days and then Telework due to COVID)
Security Clearance: Not required
Description:
The candidate will be performing various GIS-related tasks and support functions. They will be required to use GIS software to manipulate geographic data for a government customer, producing daily and weekly outputs. They will be trained in various support activities related to overall project objectives. Support functions may include, but are not limited to: parsing and reviewing downloaded information, researching source documents, organizing various reports, documents and files, utilizing quality control steps, maintaining metadata and metrics, and coordinating these efforts with fellow team members. Additionally, they will be required to analyze, edit and validate geographic data and attributes. This position requires a self-motivated individual who is organized, hard-working, and able to efficiently multi-task. Candidates with keen attention to detail and rigorous organizational skills are highly desired. No clearance is required.
Preferred experience:
GIS and Esri ArcGIS software suite experience are highly preferred.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree and 1+ years of experience; ArcGIS experience; GIS data editing; Strong attention to detail and organization; Motivated and eager to learn.
