Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join the Industrials team as the Global Sales Operations Leader for Mativ. This is a high visibility role reporting directly to the President of the Industrials business unit. This role will work closely with Sales, Planning, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, R&D and Product Management and have responsibility for Strategic Pricing, Customer Service and Order to Cash activities to deliver exceptional customer experiences globally. By partnering with the commercial team, our manufacturing sites and our global functions, this position will be required to use influencing skills at multiple levels of the organization. This role will also work with internal and external partners and customers to provide a high level of quality support.
This position is hybrid-remote and can be based near any of our offices or manufacturing facilities or Alpharetta, GA.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership, communication, coaching, performance management, professional development and skills enhancement for the Industrials Customer Service, Strategic Pricing and order to cash teams to drive best in class customer experience worldwide.
- Define best-in-class service and continuously drive the Customer Service team to deliver against those goals.
- Work directly with Sales, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Finance and our customers to resolve service issues, put in corrective actions, and coordinate internal and external metrics to track our service performance.
- Foster a continuous improvement mindset within the team and develop talent
- Develop and implement strategy that leverages current technology, new technology, and process capabilities that drives continual improvement and sustained service, working capital efficiencies, and reduced costs.
- Effective and timely execution of formula-based price agreements, ensuring full capture of rapidly changing input costs.
- Be an effective change agent to support long-term goals and growth of the Industrials business unit. Ensure talent structure is optimized to deliver results and develop talent that is transferable.
- Direct management and matrix influence critical to success of role
- Model positive and productive relationships at all levels ensuring a fun work environment.
- Approximately 25% travel for internal team meetings and occasional customer meetings.
Position Requirements:
Required
- Proven ability to lead, coach and motivate others.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience leading a team is required.
- Experience leading remote teams preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a customer service or equivalent role.
- Working knowledge of export sales and INCO terms.
- Excellent communication and consulting skills with the ability to engage, motivate and influence stakeholders; the ability to interface with all levels of the organization.
- Proven ability to drive process improvements (order to cash).
- Demonstrated experience collaborating and building credibility with cross functional teams.
- Utilizes data analytics to inform and drive business outcomes.
- Solution-focused and flexible to adapt to the needs of the business.
- Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Preferred
- Experience working on custom engineered materials B2B manufacturer (e.g. industrial papers, metals, chemicals, specialty coating)
- Oracle, Sales BI, Splash BI, Sugar CRM
Competencies:
- Evidence of excellent communication skills and building excellent relationships with internal and external customers
- Project management skills with a track record of successful delivery within a matrix organization
- Ability to develop solutions to a diverse range of problems using structured problem-solving tools and sound analytical and conceptual thinking
- Proven ability to work cross functionally with multiple departments, such as Product Management, Engineering, Supply Chain and Purchasing
- Solid multi-tasking, time management, problem solving, and analytical skills
- Ability to understand and work in multiple systems
