Global Security Operations Center Operator - FT/PT - Various Shifts - Sunday to Thursday - up to $25/HR
Job description
The Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) Operator role is part of a 24/7 security team that analyzes and reports on risks to the company including natural disasters, terror attacks, civil unrest, workplace violence, facility intrusion, and other risks. The GSOC directly supports the client’s world-class Global Security & Resiliency team while partnering with other business units to meet common goals.
In this role, you will monitor cctv and alarm systems for client sites worldwide, operate 24/7 emergency phone lines and triage calls from site contacts and business travelers, and support on-site security officers in responding to incidents at the client’s global headquarters. You will utilize software and social media programs to recognize incidents that may place the company’s sites, employees, travelers, brand, or ability to make a profit at risk, analyze the potential impact to the business, and escalate appropriately. The ideal candidate for this role will be naturally inquisitive, interested in current events, and able to quickly analyze new information. The ideal candidate is also comfortable communicating with client employees, from individual contributors through senior leadership, through telephone, SMS, and e-mail communications. Professional writing is a must.
Specific Duties and Job Functions:
- Superior communication skills: The ability to effectively and professionally communicate with senior business leaders through oral and written language.
- Ability to analyze information, calculate potential risks, and disseminate that analysis to the appropriate contacts. Corporate or military intelligence experience preferred.
- Experience with travel security systems (Anvil, International SOS) preferred.
- Experience with mass communication tools (Everbridge, MIR3, OnSolve) preferred.
- Experience with alarm monitoring programs (S2, Lenel, C-Cure) preferred.
- Experience with CCTV programs (Milestone) preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree highly preferred.
- To be eligible for placement with this client, proof of full vaccination for COVID-19 is required.
- Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
- Ability to work the schedule as assigned, including holidays and during inclement weather. Must have access to reliable transportation.
- Previous Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) experience required
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- 21 years of age or older
- Two (2) years previous GSOC experience.
- Must meet qualifications to complete state required Security Officer Affidavit/Registration.
- Be able to pass a drug screen
- Successfully pass a background check that includes personal references, criminal history, employment & education verification, DMV check and credit check if applicable
- Have access to reliable transportation
GSOC/Travel Security/Global Operations Experience preferred, but not required
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
- GSOC Experience Preferred
- Good working knowledge of Security Operations.
- Understanding of Safety Practices in a Business environment.
- Ability to provide high level of Customer Service.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Be computer proficient
- Read, understand and clearly speak English; constantly use speech and hearing in communicating with the public and co-workers, giving and receiving instructions
- High attention to detail
- Ability to work in various environments including but not limited to adverse outdoor conditions such as cold, rain, heat.
