Guest Employee and Absence Management Specialist
Job description
POSITION SUMMARY: This position is responsible for ensuring that staff absences are covered by guest employees within resources provided by the District. This position also functions as liaison between regular District employees and guest employees. The position is responsible for configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting the absence management system, and entering guest employee information in a timely manner. This position is responsible for recruiting, hiring, and orientation of guest employees. Creates and runs reports to monitor and show a variety of data to ensure we are in compliance with district policies, procedures and collective bargaining language.

- Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot the absence management system
- Set up accounts in the absence management system
- Monitors requests for assistance with the absence management system to ensure that all requests for assistance are being answered and completed, in as timely and efficient manner as possible under rapidly fluctuating and highly demanding conditions and reports issues to the Director of Human Resources. Taking ownership of customer issues reported and seeing problems through to resolution
- Receives requests for assistance from guest and permanent employees via email, telephone call, or in-person regarding absence management system.
- Train employees on the use of the absence management system
- Provide assistance and information relating to guest employee application procedures, guest employee orientations, and other human resources inquiries..
- Recruit guest employees and process guest employee applications and hiring paperwork.
- Contact guest employee applicants and schedule for orientation
- Facilitates guest employee and emergency guest employee orientations
- Place guest employees appropriately on salary schedule
- Maintain accurate records for employees and guest employees in the absence management system
- Fill guest employee positions left unfilled by the automated absence management system
- Collaborate with TFL for additional training needs.
OTHER RESPONSIBLITIES:
- Complete and return employment verification and experience requests
- Prepare appropriate documentation for new employees, both permanent and guest employees
- Maintain records for long-term guest employees and ensure accuracy of compensation based on collective bargaining agreements
- Provide absence reports to departments, schools, and other administrators upon request
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $29.88 - $38.42 per hour
