Job summary
  • Characterization/determination of waste including proper segregation, containerizing, labeling and preparing for shipment, in accordance with DOT and RCRA requirements.
  • Physical maintenance and organization of the waste storage/management areas and all satellite accumulation areas, in accordance with regulatory requirements and applicable network policies.
  • Ensure that required records needed to assist with policy-required waste recordkeeping, including waste generator logs and routine inspections, are being completed and maintained.
  • Liaison with Site Safety teams, ICQA, ISS, Vendor Returns and facilities teams responsible for the generation and proper management and hazardous chemicals, hazardous and universal wastes.
  • Support the Site Safety Team in preparing monthly waste inventory and development of shipping frequency.
  • Researching trends, inventory loss and cost reduction efforts, where applicable.
  • Must be trained to handle and process waste in accordance with RCRA (LQG), DOT, OSHA and state specific regulations and requirements. • Must be trained in HAZWOPER and be available to assist with incidental spill/leak/release clean-up activities.

  • Experience with inventory, bin types, containers, and all tools used to move product throughout the warehouse
  • Understanding of Receiving processes and operations
  • Certified or willing to become PIT trained
  • EPA Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) Training ID 4932
  • Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) Authorized Training ORG (KNET)
  • DOT Hazardous Materials Training Part 1 - General Awareness (KNET)
  • DOT Hazardous Materials Training Part 2 - Function Specific Training: ORM-D (KNET) • DOT Hazardous Materials Training Part 3 - Safety and Security Awareness (KNET)
