Bonnie Plants is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Quincy, Florida

As part of the Bonnie Plants Maintenance team, you will oversee daily maintenance of all greenhouses, production, and growing systems. You will work in coordinate with the site manager for all needs and comply with company regulations.

Essential Functions:

• Ensure greenhouse remains operational and provides all upkeep, improvement, and repair plans.
• Assume responsibility for all coordinating and conducting greenhouse maintenance
• Maintain, trouble-shoot and service mechanical & industrial electrical equipment with plc and relay logic controllers
• Perform all aspects of general electrical installations including circuit boards, switch panels, wiring, lighting, and switches
• Keep Production Lines operational by performing PM services to minimize downtime
• Monitor water/irrigation systems daily to ensure proper operation
• Prioritize repairs to any equipment to minimize the impact of said equipment being out of service
• Prioritize, plan, schedule and perform daily repairs on equipment, systems, and machinery
• Schedule repairs with vendors as necessary
• Equipment Operation (i.e., tractor, scissor lift, skid steer, etc)
• Assist the Maintenance Team wherever needed as priority assignments come up
• Ensure the accuracy of required tracking and control reports.
• Ensure continuity and maximize productivity and quality within the company guidelines.
• Insure accurate documentation of production, quality control and inventory data records.
• Ability to efficiently use electrical meters (i.e. volt meter) to troubleshoot electronic equipment such as contactors, motors, controls, switches, etc.
• Experience in PVC pipe work
• Experience with Welding (TIG, Stick, MIG)
• Other duties as assigned that may or may not be commensurate with the level of responsibility of this job description

Skills, Education & Experience:

• Associate degree (or equivalent) in Technical Education, Engineering, or equivalent job experience
• 2 years’ experience as a Facilities or Maintenance technician of manufacturing or agriculture facility.
• Strong interpersonal and analytical skills. A solutions provider
• Capable of Lifting up to 70 lbs. frequently
• Available to participate in a rotating duty schedule and available to work Holidays and Weekends as necessary
• Capable of working at heights of 30 feet.
• Must be willing to work outside in the elements during emergency, priority situations
• Due to nature of the position, ability to walk, stand, lift and climb 75% or more of the time.
• Have a valid Driver's License (in good standing)

Desired but not required:

• Experience in Greenhouse, or commercial greenhouses
• Experience with HVAC systems and generators a plus
• Bilingual (English & Spanish)
