Responsibilities:
NWN is looking for a Help Desk Specialist to join our team in Bakersfield, CA. This is a full time position with full benefits.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Provides support to end users on a variety of issues. Identifies, researches, and resolves technical problems.
  • Responds to telephone calls, email and walk up requests for technical support.
  • Support user account information including rights and systems groups.
  • Documents, tracks and monitors the problem to ensure a timely resolution.
  • Duties may also include, but are not limited to, inventory and distribution of cell phones, pagers, laptops, and any other equipment as identified.
  • Uses tools / assets such as online knowledge base articles outside of company records to identify or resolve unforeseen or un-encountered issues.
  • Help to create a knowledge base for re-occurring issues / training purposes. Ability to design and improve existing procedures and guidelines.
  • Works under general supervision.
  • Maintains safe work environment by following company codes, standards, and legal regulations.
  • Enhances department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
  • Maintains customer rapport by listening to and resolving concerns, answering questions.
  • Potential for rotating on-call responsibilities.
Qualifications:
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
  • Experience with Active Directory, Windows 10, and Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with Cherwell or other Help Desk Ticketing software.
  • Good organization skills to balance and prioritize work.
  • Above average analytical skills to troubleshoot and resolve problems.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Verbal and written skills - ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical staff.
