We are searching for Shift Leads to join our soon to be open Darien location. Shift Leads are integral building blocks of our company, fully embodying the Fry The Coop mentality of spreading happiness, in and outside of the workplace. Shift Leads are actively working alongside our crew members day in and day out to uphold Fry The Coop standards and maintain our mission of care, love, and delicious food.

Responsibilities:

Shift Lead responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Training - Onboarding and working with new and existing staff members according to company procedures as they grow with us. This includes:
  • Cashiers: Opening and closing responsibilities, stocking, dining room and restroom cleanliness, menu knowledge, money handling, customer service
  • Line Cooks: Opening and closing responsibilities, stocking, cleanliness and sanitation as determined by state health code procedures, menu knowledge, speed and accuracy of order completion, following safety procedures for operating fryers, clear and open communication with staff and customers
  • Prep Cooks - Opening and closing responsibilities, stocking, cleanliness and sanitation as determining by state health code procedures, safe food and knife handling, following prep lists for store needs, open communication with staff members
  • Employee Relations - creating and maintaining a culture that is conducive to Fry The Coop standards
  • Customer Relations - Handling both positive and negative customer praise, complaints, and feedback in real time and as a reflection of Fry The Coop standards
  • Scheduling - Actively assisting in the schedule creation of the store, including filling in the schedule where coverage is needed to ensure smooth service each day
  • Inventory - Maintaining and assisting with the tracking and ordering of daily, weekly, and monthly inventory

Who You Are:

We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience to join our Shift Lead team. The following skills and experience sets are preferred but not required:

  • At least 1 year of leadership experience (experience in a fast/casual setting preferred)
  • Open availability (Nights and Weekends are required)
  • General knowledge of restaurant operations and procedures
  • A friendly and kindness-forward demeanor - We are in the people business!
  • Teamwork oriented
  • Looking for growth opportunities - As we expand, the only place to grow is up!
  • Up to date Management Food Handlers certification a plus
  • Ability to lift 50lbs and stand for extended periods of time
  • Proficient English speaking, reading, and writing skills (bilingual a plus!)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
