Home Care Aide
Full-time and Part-time Home Care Aide/RA/CNA positions are available for an energetic, outgoing, caring individual with a genuine desire to work with seniors to manage day-to-day home care duties. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- A high school diploma or GED 18 years or older
- Must be able to read, write, understand, and communicate in the English language
- Have demonstrated experience in the senior healthcare industry
- Be accurate, concise, detail-oriented, and able to work cooperatively as a team member
- Effectively communicate with clients, families, staff, and all levels of the organization with good written and verbal skills
All candidates subject to reference check, pre-employment drug test, TB test, and criminal history check
EXPECTATIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Valid driver’s license
- Contribute to a positive environment for clients
- Provide assistance with activities of daily living to meet the client’s physical, emotional, intellectual, social and spiritual needs with respect and dignity. This could include bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, laundry, bed making, meal preparation and other duties as assigned.
- Demonstrate dependable work habits.
- Ability to display tactful, cheerful, and enthusiastic disposition with all clients and family members.
- Prioritizes tasks to ensure optimum services to clients as requests and/or needs change.
- Maintains a safe environment for the client according to regulations, policy and procedure
- Maintain compliance with state rules and regulations.
- Attend and participate in continuing educational programs to keep abreast of changes in the field. Maintain current license/certification as required.
- Honor clients’ rights to fair and equitable treatment, self-determination, individuality, privacy, property and civil rights, including the right to wage complaints.
- Maintain accurate and current records
- Communicate well with clients and family members. Provide a warm and friendly greeting and an approachable attitude to families, visitors, and clients. Respond to expressed concerns with a helpful, caring demeanor. Answer questions in a professional manner.
Mileage reimbursement plus hourly wage.
Bonus following successful completion of orientation period.
