Job description
Overview:
Provide an appropriately safe, caring and enriching environment for the children involved in youth programing at Hope Valley Country Club. This position will primarily assist with activities for our school aged members participating in our Friday and Saturday Fun Night Activities with games, crafts, group activities, and forming positive relationships.
Responsibilities:
Create an overall vibe of inclusion and excitement while maintaining a safe environment.
Actively engage and participate in group games and encourage participation with program participants.
Keep a consistent headcount on all children present at site; communicate changes with all other associates.
Consistently demonstrate positive interaction with all children; talk to them and treat them with dignity and respect.
Positively ID individuals picking-up before releasing children (following sign in and out policies).
Consistently demonstrate positive discipline; teach and redirect rather than scolding or reprimanding; firmly and consistently enforce the rules.
Express clear expectations and hold children accountable for adhering to them.
Help children to develop a positive self-esteem and sense of self-worth.
Be prompt and dependable to work when requested.
Assist in implementing group activity plans.
Cleans and picks up areas used by the program as needed.
Qualifications:
Minimum age of 18 with high school diploma or equivalent.
Love working with kids!
Three months experience working with youth.
Experience may also include working as a babysitter, nanny or other childcare program.
Ability to actively engage with and supervise children requiring physical stamina, alertness and emotional stability.
Ability to work with others in a team environment.
Contagious enthusiasm and charisma
Commitment and desire to provide quality youth development services.
Able to commit to working most Friday Nights 4:45-9:00 PM
Creativity, flexibility, and excellent multi-tasking skills
Experience facilitating groups of children and/or working youth programs is preferred

Hope Valley Country Club Youth Program Schedule
Hope Valley Country Club offers year-round youth programming. Primarily you will work our Friday and Saturday evening Kids Corner, from 3pm-9pm, as well as additional youth events we put on for our families.
Other opportunities you may be asked to assist with include:
Special Youth Events-Example Mother Daughter Tea, Schools Out Pajama Party, Easter Egg Hunt, Course and Courts Camp.
