The Hospital Privileging team processes privileging/credentialing applications for providers who have been accepted to assignments where hospital privileges and/or credentials are necessary. As a Hospital Privileging Manager, you will lead a team of Hospital Privileging Coordinators who partner with sales teams, providers and medical staff offices to assist in completing hospital privilege applications and the verification processes required by hospitals where the provider must be privileged for each assignment. It is the responsibility of the Hospital Privileging Manager to contribute to the success of the division to ensure that coverage is appropriate, culture is maintained, and team goals are achieved. Responsibilities:
  • Participates in the hiring process for new team members
  • Responsible for training and onboarding of new employees
  • Observe and coach employee work habits, attitude and results to assist in quarterly ratings, develop performance evaluations and effective plan for performance improvement
  • Conduct structured and guided 1:1s and development meetings; create development plans which align with the appropriate position guidelines
  • Diagnose and project workload volumes for employees
  • Supervise and monitor business productivity measures for employees to assure that individual and team productivity goals are met
  • Monitor compliance with policies and procedures to ensure divisional and process initiatives are trained and followed
  • Assist in the development rollout and maintenance of team goals, annual growth plan, team contests and divisional initiatives
  • Resource for questions and problem resolution for escalated team, client, or physician concerns
  • Partner with other sales/business partner leaders on best practices and process improvements for the team/division
  • Leverage divisional partnerships to maintain consistency and/or improve the customer experience
  • Positively supports unified team and divisional messages
  • Influences team engagement through leading by example
Qualifications:
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including phone skills
  • Ability to articulate information and concepts convincingly
  • Strong computer skills in MS Word, Excel and large operating systems
  • Proven time management skills focusing on urgent and overlapping deadlines
  • Strong organization skills and attention to detail
  • Demonstrated researching and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated experience coaching and/or leading people
  • Demonstrated experience in successfully meeting individual production goals
  • Familiarity with process improvement strategies and tactics
  • Demonstrated ability to build collaborative relationships
Education & Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1-2 years leadership or equivalent experience
Preferred
  • Knowledge of credentialing and hospital privilege processes
  • Understanding of the staffing industry
  • Technical understanding of physician specialties and healthcare practice settings
  • Knowledge of internal operational systems and processes
