Mountain Valley's shared living arrangement, also known as a Host Home, provides a family like support environment for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We match people seeking a new home environment with an individual, couple or family in the community who wish to share their life experience with a person with a disability.
- Each host home is specifically designed to meet the unique needs of an individual, respecting their personality, capabilities and hopes for the future.
- Host Home Providers are carefully screened and selected.
- An extensive matching process facilitates finding a home and family that is a "just right" fit for each other.
- The person who joins you has their own room, is included in family activities and benefits from the host family's connections to the community.
- All initial required training and on-going trainings are provided by Mountain Valley and are available on line.
- Adult Host Home Providers are independent contractors.
