Salary: Flat hourly rates: Support staff starting wage $18/hr. This is a non-tipped position.
Hours: Part-time summer hours. Must have weekend availability, some weekday shifts also available. Hours will will be throughout summer with potential for year-round

Our Team regardless of schedule shift are all hardworking clean freaks who make sure everything, from chairs to tables to floors are clean as a whistle. Basic requirements include:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Restaurant experience preferred but not required
- TIPS certification strongly preferred (if you don’t have it, you will within 30 days)
- Strong knowledge of beer styles, local and national craft beers, and Surly beers required (duh)
- Outgoing personality and exemplary customer service orientation required
- Fantastic multi-tasker who can maintain friendly composure amid stress
- Willingness to work as part of a team
- Able to perform physical work in a loud environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule based on the restaurant’s needs; may include nights, weekends and holidays
What?: SURLY is an all hands on deck operation. Our FOH Staff work as a team to create an awesome experience for our guests, jumping in to help wherever help is needed. You will do more than just run food and beer, buss tables, seat guests, deliver food, take online orders, pour beer and help stock the bar, as this is a fast paced and large floor that requires everyone to operate as a team. You will advocate for the guests and strive for excellence. The position is a flat hourly rate, these are not tipped positions. All positions report to the Front of the House Manager.
You may be scheduled any of these various positions in a work week, but the focus will be on your core strengths. Surly is a team and this position will encompass all potential duties to ensure optimal guest satisfaction
Basic responsibilities include:
- Customer Service is priority #1. Take care of the Customer both internal and external above all else. Positive Attitude is a must
- Inform guests of waits, work with reservations, and seat guests quickly efficiently and politely
- Answer phones and help assist guests with phone orders, reservations or questions as needed
- Ensure that all company policies and procedures are followed
- Maintain quality and standards of Surly culture, food, beer, service and atmosphere
- Foster a dynamic, enjoyable and inclusive culture
- Be able to talk about the history of Surly, the MSP Facility, and the surrounding area with reasonable knowledge
- Run food from kitchen to restaurant
- Stock Wait Stations with ice, glassware, and other items as needed
- Help work curbside positions as needed including ordering, fulfillment and running
- Pay attention and adhere to TIPS principles
- Be on time, be alert, clean and be ready for pre-shift
- Wear all required PPE and follow all cleaning protocols and procedures as outlined in the cleaning SOP
- Any other responsibilities as assigned by the Front of House Managers
