Job Description - Housekeeping in Assisted Living Community
Qualifications:
Must successfully complete specified training programs.
Must speak some English.
Must pass physical and demonstrate ability to do required duties.
Must have clean criminal background.
Able to work shift as needed.
Must have both Covid Vaccines
Performs all housekeeping duties including:
Cleaning public restrooms, areas and replacing supplies as needed.
Sweeping, scrubbing, waxing, and polishing floors; cleaning carpets, upholstered furniture and draperies.
Dusting furniture and equipment.
Washing and cleaning walls, woodwork, windows, door panels and sills.
Performs laundry duties including: washing, drying resident laundry and community linens and textiles and folding and/or hanging laundry appropriately.
Changing linens on beds and towels in bedrooms.
Washes windows at reasonable heights throughout the community as requested.
Keeps utility and storage rooms in clean and orderly condition.
Disinfects and sterilizes equipment and supplies.
Stocks cleaning cart with supplies.
Empties wastebaskets, and transports trash and waste to disposal area.
Ensures that trash areas are clean.
Reports resident issues or changes in health to supervisor on duty promptly.
Reports potentially unsafe conditions or maintenance related issues promptly to Supervisor.
Able to operate cleaning equipment such as: iron, washer & dryer, brooms, mops, vacuums, carpet cleaning machine, etc.
May perform other duties as assigned by Director.
