As a Room Attendant – you’ll make sure our rooms and suites are always ‘fresh and welcoming’ for our guests after a busy day at work – creating a haven for them to escape and relax in - or get a bit of last minute work done. You'll make sure our rooms are always at their best. We have standards - but it's up to you to make that room special and memorable for our guests.
Primary Responsibilities/Your Day-to-Day
- Greeting guests and responding to queries.
- Changing bed linen and making beds.
- Replacing used towels and other bathroom amenities, such as shampoo and soap.
- Sweeping and mopping floors.
- Vacuuming carpets.
- Dusting and polishing furniture.
- Emptying trash containers and ashtrays.
- Cleaning public areas, such as corridors.
- Reporting any technical issues and maintenance needs.
- Updating status of guest rooms on assignment sheet.
- Returning and restocking cleaning cart at shift end.
- Performs job safely while maintaining a clean, safe work environment.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Skills/Experience
- Hotel housekeeping experience highly preferred
- Guest service experience preferred
- Attention to detail
- Team player
- Organizational skills
- Professional and polite
- Ability to work with little or no supervision while meeting high performance standards
It’s a physical role and you’ll be on your feet most of the day, so fitness is important
Strength – with occasional lifting of items up to 50 pounds / 23 kilograms and or push/pulling heavy objects
Bending/kneeling to complete some activities
