Description
The HR Generalist provides administration of the human resources policies, procedures and programs as well as support for the day-to-day operations of the Human Resource office. The HR Generalist carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: payroll, employment, benefits, safety, and training.

Essential Duties
- Prepares Change Form for corporate to processes all changes for E1 (new hires, terminations, reviews, etc.)
- Processes and maintains all Kronos Time and Attendance Changes, E1 Supplemental Data, and E1 Address book changes.
- Prepares payroll authorization sheet and labor ticket spreadsheet.
- Responsible for the hiring of all manufacturing personnel.
- Processes all applicants in applicant tracking.
- Responsible for new hire reporting and E-Verify for the facility.
- Prepares the Affirmative Action Plan for the facility.
- Conducts exit interviews.
- Assists in processing benefit deduction changes.
- Enters changes in benefit website.
- Administers FMLA and short term disability benefits.
- Writes the Monthly Newsletter.
- Prepares and sends out yearly performance reviews forms and job descriptions to managers, compiles a list of late reviews, and assists in keeping job descriptions up to date.
- Checks Holiday Pay for eligibility.
- Administers the COBRA program for terminated employees.
- Compiles employment totals, demographics, absence and turnover charts.
- Handles the administration of safety programs including safety meetings, and conducting safety training, etc.
- Handles the administration of the Workers' Compensation Laws, accident investigations, accident prevention programs, claims processing, preparation of reports and record keeping, return to work programs and injury and illness statistics.
- Assist manufacturing supervisors with routine questions and prepares warnings needed.
- Resolve complaints regarding vending machines and provides reimbursements.
- Answers phones.
- Will perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- B.S. Degree in related field OR an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.
- One to three years of human resources generalist experience.
- Competent in use of Microsoft Office applications.
