Intuitive Machines is seeking a Human Resources (HR) Generalist - Federal Generalist to join our team. This position reports to the Chief Human Capital Officer. The HR Generalist will partner with corporate operations and talent acquisition to implement various human resources programs and conduct day-to-day human resources activities. The applicant will be located on-site in Houston, TX 77058.


Responsibilities

Your role as an HR Generalist will be multi-dimensional. You’ll undertake a wide range of day-to-day HR tasks like organizing trainings, administering employee benefits and leaves and crafting HR policies. You will use Human Resources Information Systems to ensure all employee records are up-to-date and confidential. And you’ll also act as the main point of contact for employees’ queries on HR-related topics.

The goal is to ensure the HR department’s operations will be running smoothly and effectively to deliver maximum value to the organization as a whole.

Your duties will include, but not be limited to:

  • Supporting our Federal Services client activity.
  • Assisting in talent acquisition and recruitment processes
  • Experience showing support of government/federal staffing processes.
  • Performing onboarding activities,
  • Administering compensation and benefit plans
  • Creating onboarding plans for new hires to educate them on company guidelines
  • Developing employee recognition programs
  • Organizing training and development initiatives
  • Processing termination and exit,
  • Maintaining employee files and records in electronic and paper form
  • Providing support to employees in various HR-related topics such as leaves and compensation and resolving any issues that may arise
  • Assisting in development and implementation of human resource policies
  • Applying in-depth understanding and providing guidance on the application of various labor/employment laws including Title VII, ADA, SCA, FMLA, PDA, FLSA, EPA, LMRA and other Federal, State and Local legislation/regulations to support customer base of management and employees.
  • Assuring compliance with laws, standards, and government regulations.
  • Maintaining policies, procedures
  • Gathering and analyzing data with useful HR metrics, like time to hire and employee turnover rates
  • Organizing annual employee performance reviews
  • Enhancing job satisfaction by resolving issues promptly, applying new perks and benefits and organizing team building activities
  • Completing monthly HR reports with all the monthly data required.
  • Assisting with compensation analysis for new hires and promotions.
  • Preparing draft responses to Texas Workforce Commission (TWC), Integrity Hotline, Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) and other agency claims, as required.
  • Performing other duties as required.

Required Education/Experience/Skills

  • Must have experience in HR functions focusing on government/federal work requirements.
  • BSc/BA in Business administration or relevant field
  • Minimum 3 years of proven experience as an HR Generalist
  • Must maintain high level of discretion and confidentiality.
  • Must have Effective verbal and written communication skills to interface with all levels of management.
  • Excellent organizational skills - process driven
  • Creative approach to problem solving in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
  • Must be detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy while multi-tasking
  • Good knowledge of employment/labor laws
  • Proficient in MS Office and ability to quickly upskill on new technologies
  • Ability and willingness to work under compressed and aggressive delivery schedule

Desired Education/Experience/Skills


  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business or Psychology.
  • Three or more years of HR experience in two or more functional areas; generalist experience which includes total rewards, retention and recruitment, and optimization of employee experience strongly preferred.
  • SPHR/PHR Certification.
  • Experience in Aerospace and/or Engineering Industry.
  • Advanced Microsoft (MS) Excel skills, strong MS Office skills, experience with federal customer HR technologies.
