Pacific Coast Manufacturing is looking for a Human Resources Manager. We are a rapidly growing Manufacturing Company located in Chino, California. This individual will manage the day-to-day HR needs of our almost 100 employees on site. Lead innovation HR initiatives in alignment with the Management Team and Senior Director of Human Resources.
The HR Manager will provide tactical and strategic leadership as they guide management in various areas such as legal compliance, safety, employee relations, training & development, employee performance and conflict management.
What You'll Do:
- Recruits, interviews, hires, and up-scales talent.
- Serves as a link between management and employees by addressing employee questions and interpreting and administering all Human Resources needs.
- Work remotely with home office located in Baton Rouge, LA.
- Ability to provide both strategic and hands-on tactical HR expertise.
- Handle all administrative tasks for on boarding, new hire orientation, and exit interviews, including entering data into HR information systems and auditing for accuracy and compliance.
- Lead the communication, interpretation, and upkeep of employee handbook changes and company change communication to all personnel in person and via Microsoft Teams.
- Administer and maintain employee benefits through the company including but not limited to health, dental, vision, quarterly 401K enrollment.
- Administer and process payroll in a timely manner to ensure correct payment on a bi-weekly basis.
- Manages and administers employee performance programs including safety, employee training and development, talent management program, performance reviews, and employee coaching, counseling, and corrective action.
- Develops, implements, and provides training to managers on performance management, new hire process and on boarding, HR overview (policies, processes, and procedures), performance management, and best practices (how to write and give) for conducting performance reviews.
- Advise on HR best practices that comply with State and Federal rules and regulations. Implement Company HR policies and procedures.
- Managing ADA accommodation practice, administer FMLA and leave tracking, process all leaves of absence paperwork according to established procedures and laws.
- Ensure job descriptions are up to date and complaint with all local, state, and federal regulations.
- Maintains confidentiality and upkeep of all employee information and files.
What You'll Need:
- Minimum 5+ years managing California personnel laws.
- ADP experience a plus!
- Bilingual in English and Spanish both verbally and written.
- Thorough knowledge of current federal and state employment laws and regulations including, but not limited to, Wage and Hour laws, ADA, FMLA, CFRA, OSHA, CCPA, workers’ compensation, I-9 requirements, COBRA, etc.
- Employee relations, employment law, compensation, performance management, and recruitment skills.
- A true hands-on approach as well as the ability to successfully monitor the "pulse" of the employees to ensure a high level of employee engagement.
- Superior interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to collaborate with managers and employees in a dynamic and customer - centric environment.
- Being an enthusiastic team player with a strong drive to create a positive work environment.
- Strong attention to detail and follow-up skills.
- Strong sense of urgency and ability to work in fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
- Savvy with Microsoft Teams.
- Position may require some travel.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
