Ignition Interlock Installer/ 12 Volt Automotive Technician
Job description
We are looking for an experienced 12 Volt technician or someone who is mechanically inclined and willing to learn! We install ignition interlock devices (vehicle breathalyzers) for clients who have received an OWI/DUI.
Ignition interlock devices (IIDs) prevent the engine-start of a client's vehicle if alcohol is present in their breath sample. Our primary duties as an organization are to install, service, and monitor ignition interlocks for those that are convicted of an OWI/DUI.
This is a customer service oriented job, so we need someone with excellent people and communication skills. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 9am-530pm. A 30-minute unpaid lunch break is provided in the middle of the day. 3 days will be at our Johnson Creek location, and 2 days at our Beaver Dam location.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Installation, servicing, troubleshooting and removal of ignition interlock device
- Fulfill daily operational duties of assigned facility
- Operate a clean, organized and hazard free work environment
- Conducts training sessions covering use of products to customers
- Maintain a positive and caring atmosphere for customers and employees
- Ability to think independently and work through service challenges consistently
- Consistently perform daily inventory audits
- Support of internal departments and personnel, assisting at any opportunity presented
- Timely submission of required paperwork
- Perform on location service calls as needed using your own vehicle- mileage compensation provided at the federal rate
- Correspondence with management when challenges are presented
- Maintain the integrity, confidentiality and security of client information and records
- Adherence to all state and federal rules, regulations and statutes
- Any other duty, as assigned

After 90 days of employment, you will receive 4 paid sick/personal days per year. After 1 year of employment, we offer 5 paid vacation days per year. After 3 years of employment, we offer 10 paid vacation days per year.
You are also eligible for bonuses for receiving good service reviews from your clients.
