​Preferred Care at Home of West Palm Beach, a nationwide senior care company, is seeking qualified caregivers in Palm Beach.

CURRENTLY HIRING FOR IMMEDIATE ROLE FRIDAY, SATURDAY, SUNDAY, & OVER NIGHT MONDAY

Looking for the right person or combination of 2 people:

>>2 People: 1 working days and 1 working nights< or >>1 person working days and nights 72 hours straight with limited breaks< <

Day Shift would be 8AM to 9PM Friday, Saturday, & Sunday

Night Shift would be 9PM to 8AM Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Overnight into Monday morning.

STARTING IMMEDIATELY!

Must have Active/Eligible ACHA Background Check on file with the State & letters of reference

REQUIRED: CNA, expirence working with Elderly, a high degree of responsiblity, reliability, and a passion for elder care

Day Requirements: Multiple daily walks, food preparation (Lunch and Dinner), high energy with lots of enriching interations with client, bed time prep

Night Reqirements: No Sleeping, checking client throughout the night for changing every 2 hours, morning dressing and bathing assistance, food preparation (Breakfast)

**If one perfect candidate is found for this case, then evening napping will be permitted, but client still requires evening assistance every 2 hours, therefore only light napping is permitted**

The positions we are looking for include: Compassionate and Experienced Individuals, CNA’s (Certified Nursing Assistants), CHHA (Certified Home Health Aides), HHA (Home Health Aides), Care Aides, Nursing Students, PCA (Personal Care Aides), Companion, and Homemaker services.

Most important to any formal education the perfect candidate for this role must posess the passion to care for our client with your whole heart and have the deep desire for a caring and loving relationship with a very sweet elderly client.

What to expect: This role requires a tremendous amount of trust and engagement. It is an active position that combines the roles of champion for dignity and independance, cheerleader, and total passionate responsiblity for the care of a person that is deeply loved by her family.​

A daily schedule for AM role: Arrive and take client for a walk with her walker, reviewing family photo albums, preparing and serving lunch, listening to music while singing along, bringing client outside to sit on the patio and enjoying the outdoors while engaging in enriching activities, preparing dinner while engaging with the client, serving dinner, and evening walk with wheelchair to the beach, prep for bed. Assistance with changing throughout the day and assistance toileting.

A daily schedule for evening role: Arrive to relieve day person. Checking client every 2 hours for assistance with changing, in morning, preparing breakfast and serving, preparing for the day with grooming and bathing, cleaning up bathroom and making the bed. Enriching interation with the client, looking at family albums, listening and singing to music, and waiting to be relieved by daytime person.

What not to expect: Being able to sit and read a book, seditary companionship, allowing client to sleep instead of engaging, witholding liquids or food so the client doesnt require toileting, leaving the client alone, and neglect.
