General Responsibilities:

Perform maintenance projects to ensure that safety and quality standards are met or exceeded. Assure that machine guards are in place when machines are operating. Fabricate and position machine guards where necessary to protect operators and by-standers. Provide technical knowledge and expertise to solve problems of a mechanical or hydraulic/pneumatic nature. Be proactive in maintaining good housekeeping for the manufacturing facility, grounds and administrative offices. Function as Machine Operator in the absence of a qualified Machine Operator. Complete work orders in an accurate and timely manner. Responsible for all machine maintenance with safety and functionality as a focus. Identify machine parts needed for repair or stocking and informs Maintenance Purchasing. Perform work from an Arial platform scissors or boom lift in a safe, effective and efficient manner. Identify and report problems and possible solutions regarding the efficiency and functionality of production assets. Understand and comply with all lockout/tagout procedures. Implement effective maintenance procedures to ensure that all equipment, facilities, and utilities are in an acceptable state of mechanical repair. Assist with machine changeovers.

Must Have:

A minimum of a HS diploma or GED is required. Associate Degree in maintenance, electro-mechanical technology or similar area preferred. At least 2-years of related mechanical maintenance experience. Strong oral, written, and interpersonal skills required. Good organizational & planning skills and attention to detail. Demonstrated Mechanical and Electrical aptitude Knowledge of machine teardown and rebuild procedures preferred.
