Mack Industries is looking for a Industrial Maintenance Technician with experience in welding and fabricating, facilities and equipment maintenance to join our team. In this position one will work alongside the head of Maintenance on projects pertaining to welding and fabricating and facilities and production equipment maintenance. Essential Functions

• Uses appropriate welding techniques to join, fabricate and repair metal and other materials
• Determines appropriate welding equipment and method based on requirements
• Thoroughly reads job specifications and determines appropriate machine adjustments and material requirements
• Appropriately sets up materials on fabrication machinery as indicated by scale, rule or template using stops and guides and positions materials against stops and aligns layout marks with die or blade
• Measures work piece dimensions to determine accuracy of machine operations
• Observes machine operation for defects in materials and for malfunctioning machinery
• Observes quality of product and makes adjustments as needed
• Performs routine and scheduled maintenance on production equipment, machinery and facilities as needed or required
• Performs related duties as assigned by supervision
• Willingness to develop new skills and progress current skills
• Willingness to assist other departments as needed
• Assist with problem solving activities strategies

Education and Training

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• 2 years of responsible metal fabrication experience preferred but not required
• Welding experience in a manufacturing environment preferred but not required
• Experience in welding, torch cutting, plasma cutting preferred but not required

Minimum Qualifications

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Highly observant, able to identify small differences in products and procedures to meet detailed standards
• Ability to multitask and properly execute multiple simultaneous assignments without sacrificing efficiency or quality of the work
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Environment Conditions and Physical Strain

• Construction environment, seasonal weather conditions
• Due to the nature of the operation, the levels of noise, dust and dirt can be high
• Office setting
• Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs., on occasion
• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
• Must be able to squat, crawl, climb and kneel to complete tasks
