Industrial Painters

SC2 is looking for some highly motivated team leaders to join our East Peoria Industrial Painting team!

This person is responsible for spraying powder/liquid coating parts and assemblies for processing in our paint booth. This person's ability to be reliable, work safely and complete the day's work with attention to quality are critical to achieving success in this position.

Job Responsibilities:

• Powder Coating and Liquid Coating of various parts
• Hanging parts on racks
• Parts Masking/plugging
• Work independently or as a team member
• Consistently meet production requirements
• Maintain a standard of quality with minimal rework
• Identify and recommend improvement opportunities within the department and organization
• Maintain a clean and organized work space
• Comply with health and safety regulations, the company handbook, quality standards, and all other company policies and procedures

Needed Skills & Qualifications are:

• Preferred prior experience of powder coat or industrial spray painting experience
• Strong attention to detail is critical and essential
• Takes pride in their work and owns mistakes
• Ability to adapt to new and changing work environments
• Must be motivated self-starter with the ability to take initiative and accomplish tasks
• Flexibility and willingness to be cross-trained
• Work toward continuous improvement

Physical Requirements:

• Must wear PPE (personal protective equipment) required for the position: a full or half face respirator at all times while in the paint booth (without facial hair)
• Move and walk within non-climate controlled manufacturing environments without assistance or restriction.
• Stand for up to 8 hrs a day
• Bend, stoop, lean, twist, squat alternately, continuously throughout the day.
• Unrestricted and full range of whole body movements and manual dexterity to move, lift, and grasp products.
• Visual acuity to assure quality and accuracy.
• Write by hand.
• Communicate by speech and hearing continuously.

Job Conditions:

• General manufacturing environment. Safety/steel toed shoes required.
• Work area may be subject to undesirable temperatures in winter and summer.
• May be required to handle hazardous substances such as, but not limited to solvents.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $16.00 per hour
