Description

We are seeking an Instructional Assessment Specialist to support the Defense Acquisitions University (DAU) Learning Science Application Center. As an Instructional Assessment Specialist, you will support the creation and administration of diagnostic situational judgement tests for performance-focused assessments, in support of the development of high-quality learning assets and experiences. These assets and experiences will be delivered in modalities including face-to-face, hybrid, and virtual learning assets.

Responsibilities

• Create performance-focused assessments designed to measure the learner’s capability to apply the skills and knowledge learned from DAU learning assets and experiences.
• Apply situational judgement testing to evaluate the effectiveness of learner response.
• Collect and analyze research data on the efficacy of DAU’s training and assessment.
• Develop other various assessments required for training and instruction, like informal knowledge checks and formal exam questions
• Apply competency mapping to develop assessments that address the needs of learners
• Administer assessments and situational judgement tests in support of government acquisition training.
• Assist DAU’s Instructional Designers in the creation of learning objectives that align with testing and assessments as designed.
• Collaborate with team members, stakeholders, and customers.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in the design and administration of performance-focused testing and assessment creation.

• Experience working with US Government agencies preferred

• Knowledge of User Centered and User Experience Design practices

• Strong facilitation and analysis skills
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

• Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Education, Instructional Design, or a related field from an accredited college or university, or equivalent

• Possess strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
• Possess proficiency in MS Office

• Strong command of the English language

• Reliable high-speed internet connection
• Core hours of 9am to 3pm ET
